Gage Academy of Art is committed to providing community programming in order to encourage a strong Seattle arts scene. To support this effort, we offer dozens of FREE public art events and four premiere special events each year.
Guest Lectures FREE
Each quarter, Gage hosts lectures with working professional artists and art historians. Many of these lectures coincide with our exhibition receptions.
Artist’s Toolkit FREE
Working art professionals present stimulating lunchtime conversations about the ways of the “real world” of art.
ArtTalk Series FREE
Gage Artistic Director Gary Faigin sits down with leading Seattle artists to discuss their works’ imagery, intention and expressive qualities.
Final Friday Critiques FREE
Artists of all levels are invited to bring their artwork to Gage for a thoughtful review by a member of the faculty.
Exhibitions FREE
Gage presents rotating exhibitions of student, instructor and guest artists works in the school’s two galleries. Each exhibition features a lively reception.
Special Events
Four times each year, Gage hosts its premiere special events including the DRAWING JAM each December and the Best of Gage: Student Art Exhibit & Awards every June. Currently, Gage is gearing up for the
16th Annual Best of Gage, set for Friday, June 20.
